The flagship AW-UE150 PTZ camera is the first PTZ camera capable of capturing UHD content at 50p, has the widest viewing angle for a PTZ at 75.1 degrees, and supports versatile outputs, including 12G-SDI, HDMI, optical fiber and IP. Simultaneous UHD/FHD operation makes the UE150 suitable for studio installations, live event capture, and fixed-rig productions.  The UE150 is now compatible with the FreeD protocol for virtual studio and Augmented Reality applications.

The AW-HE130 includes a 3MOS sensor that supports Full-HD quality images in low light conditions, up to four channels of IP streaming video, and a 20x optical zoom. It also has a built-in Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) system that minimises vibrations to the camera when mounted.

The outdoor AW-HR140 offers the same image quality as the AW-HE130, but has been designed for usage in the toughest of outdoor environments. Its features include haze reduction, resistance to wind pressures and salt damage, a controllable lens wiper and the ability to work in temperatures that range from -15°C to 55°C.

The UHD-capable AW-UE70 provides UHD-quality images via HDMI, USB and LAN connection, and also performs extremely well as a Full-HD camera via 3G-SDI connectivity. It also features a 20x optical zoom and in-camera recording via a microSD card slot.

The AW-HE42 has a wide viewing angle of 65.1 degrees, provides a simultaneous Full-HD output via its 3G-SDI, HDMI and IP outputs, and a HDR function that is suitable for backlit conditions. It also features a 20x optical zoom with a further 10x Intelligent Zoom, and in-camera recording via a microSD card slot.

The AW-HE40 comes in both a SDI and HDMI version. Its features include a 30x optical zoom, a night mode that supports shooting in low-light conditions, a HDR function, and an exceptional pan-tilt performance that supports smooth shooting across a wide area, making it well suited for houses of worship and corporate applications.

The entire PTZ line-up is available in colour options of black or white. They also benefit from a single-cable operation*, which means that video and audio, control and power can all be provided through a Power over Ethernet (PoE +) feature, making installation of the cameras significantly easier. In addition, the listed cameras can also support our auto-tracking software (AW-SF100 for PC and AW-SF200 for Windows Servers) which automatically tracks presenter movements, making it ideal for both education and video conferencing environments.

There are multiple ways of controlling the PTZ cameras. Initial control can be made via the pre-installed web user interface or PTZ CNTRL Center via a network. The AW-RM50 allows control via a handheld remote, whilst the compact and easy-to-operate AW-RP50 controller allows control of up to 5 remote cameras via serial, and up to 100 cameras via a switching hub. The AW-RP150 features a new one-hand operation joystick (controlling PTZ or Focus), a 7-type large touch-panel LCD screen for monitoring and menu setting, and the ability to control up to 20 groups or up to 200 cameras.

Panasonic’s current PTZ line-up offers full integration support of NDI Version 3, enhanced with a new high-efficiency mode called NDI|HX, which allows users to connect Panasonic’s professional cameras directly into a NDI network. Automatic detection of these cameras with NewTek’s TriCaster® and NewTek’s IP series of professional video switchers allows them to seamlessly integrate with other NDI-capable products, enabling NDI-based video production workflows without any additional configuration.

Panasonic have partnered with a range of companies that support additional applications within its remote camera line-up. This includes a collaboration with KST-Moschkau, who have provided an outdoor housing solution for both the AW-UE70 and the AW-HE40, in addition to wall-mounts for these cameras, the AW-HE130 and AW-UE150. The KST-CamBot.system is a motion-control robotic camera system used for beauty shots in production studios, and provides highly accurate camera movement within a reduced space. It is based on a software interface, meaning that the robotic arm can be fully automated with repeatable trajectories.

Tecnopoint’s TUNING is a robotic system that provides broadcast-quality movement of PTZ cameras with motorised dollies and telescopic columns that can be floor and ceiling-mounted. Designed to work specifically with Panasonic PTZ camera protocol, it can be used in studio environments where automated camera movement is needed.

Movicom’s Robyhead D1 and D1S are classic pan-tilt solutions that have been especially designed to work with 4K box and studio cameras, and has complete integration with both Panasonic control panels and the AK-UB300 4K box camera – making it the most advanced 4K pan-tilt on the market that can be used in studios, conference halls and stadia.

Quicklink’s Studio-in-a-Box solution is a bi-directional calling solution, in real time with full duplex audio, that can provide instant resources to be used in various locations. It uses a Panasonic PTZ camera – be it the AW-HE40, AW-HE42 or AW-UE70 – and can be used to enhance capacity within existing workflows, and allows more content on demand to be produced.

Panasonic is a distributor for Antelope Camera Systems, whom specialise in micro cameras and high-speed solutions to be used in sport production, live action, feature and documentary. The Antelope Pico is the world smallest live high-speed camera, and brings stunning new slow-motion perspectives. The Antelope Nano is a miniature live broadcast camera system that offers spectacular Full-HD footage with extremely small dimensions. The Antelope Ultra camera system offers spectacular UHD footage with high detail and unsurpassed light sensitivity.

*Both the AW-UE150 and AW-HR140 require PoE++ support, which required a separate routing hub or an injector if using current PoE+ routing hubs.
