Panasonic technology showcase to make debut at Independent Hotel Show

Panasonic is set to showcase the best of its technology aimed at the hospitality sector at the upcoming Independent Hotel Show at Olympia, London on 16th and 17th October.

Using the slogan ‘The freedom to make every stay memorable’, the Japanese manufacturer will demonstrate its communications products, such as its industry leading PBX communications platform and cost effective range of SIP phones. The roll out of IP based systems, brings with it a low total cost of ownership, while at the same time improving customer service levels and decreasing the turnaround time for system changes.

In addition, Panasonic security cameras, such as the 4K 360° camera, offer benefits beyond simple security that’s inherent within traditional CCTV cameras. Intelligent Auto (iA) monitors scene dynamics and motion to adjust key camera settings automatically in real-time, reducing distortion such as motion blur on moving objects. While adopting H.265 Smart Coding technology means bandwidth efficiency is intelligently increased for longer recording and less storage. Powerful built-in analytics provide advanced behaviour analysis so that hotels are able to learn more about their customers.

Visitors will also get the opportunity to try out the latest from Panasonic’s Toughbook range of rugged tablet technology, professional microwave ovens and in room televisions, which are the world’s first to integrate what is known as TV>IP technology, negating the need for set top boxes.

Navdeep Singh, Regional Marketing Manager for Panasonic Communications Solutions, said, “Panasonic’s has one of the broadest ranges of technology in the world, much of which is very well suited to independent hotels. Technology consistency brings numerous benefits for customers - greater connectivity, improved customer service and improved return on investment.”
