Panasonic continues to enhance its range of SIP terminals.
Panasonic is delighted to announce the availability of the KX-UT248 executive SIP Desk Phone, complementing the highly successful KX-UT series line-up
24th April 2012: The KX-UT248 is a fully featured, executive SIP terminal that offers all the features that customers have come to expect from the Panasonic KX-UT series, such as crisp, clear, high definition voice quality, low power consumption and ‘plug and play’ configuration. The UT248 has even more to offer though: this powerful desk phone offers a high quality 4.4” greyscale display with 24 Self Labeling Keys programmable feature keys,Gigabit Ethernet, XML application support and built-in Bluetooth for wireless headsets, making this the ideal SIP phone for demanding business executives.
Busy telephone users will find a lot to like in the UT248. It offers 6 SIP accounts, a 500 entry phonebook and compatibility with Plantronics Electronic Hook Switch systems, ensuring that it’s easy to manage calls and contacts. Ease of use is a major design consideration - one-touch buttons give users ‘one key’ access to main functions without having to press several button sequences. Holding the line, calling, and other operations are easily done without having to memorize complicated steps. The entire KX-UT series offers wide ranging platform compatibility, being certified for use with Broadsoft Broadworks and Digium’s Asterisk, giving access to the most popular Carrier based telephony services across the globe.
As an innovative green corporation, Panasonic has developed its SIP phones to be gentle on the environment by minimizing power consumption, both during use and while in ‘standby’ mode. The power consumption during ordinary use is only 1/2 to 1/3 that of many competitive phones. By using ECO mode, power consumption can be reduced even further, reducing energy bills while being environmentally friendly.
The UT248 offers a great solution for installers too – as there are several ways to remotely configure the UT248 for the chosen SIP server, which reduces the need for site visits and the associated installation costs. Entire systems can be automatically configured using a Provisioning Server, for genuine ‘plug and play’ project roll-outs.
Of course, Panasonic has also gone to great lengths to make sure the UT248 has the same class leading, high definition voice quality that is built-in to the rest of the KX-UT series terminal devices. Using the wideband G.722 audio codec in conjunction with superior audio design ensures clear, crisp audio for every call.
The KX-UT248 is available End of April 2012
